TIPS FOR
FIRST TIME BUYERS
It is easier to
rent out a new condo if there is a pool and gym. If the gym
faces the pool, rather than being tucked in the basement, it is
even more attractive to prospective tenants. Location and
proximity near the subway are very important factors.
Sea views may not be attractive if your investment condo is just
next to the expressway, e.g. The Waterside, The Makena and The
Sovereign.
Traffic noises do travel upwards. If your condo has
double-glazed windows, the noise will be cut out considerably but
few Singapore developers want to install such windows.
Double glazing should include the sliding door glass
too.

Bayshore is 3 years old and has lush landscaping and
plenty of sea breeze, being almost at the doorstep of East
Coast beaches. One Labrador was seen on April 28, 2000 at
4.00 pm exercised by a Caucasian lady. Another
black Labrador was seen previously. The management
is pet friendly. |

views but other units face the sea and construction. |
The
Bayshore Tower 2B #29-01 has beautiful sea views in
the master bedroom. There is the new condo being built.

Towers' gym faces a standard rectangular lap pool
with waterfalls and guzzling spouts. It makes exercise a
joy and makes you feel like working out your
flab. Trellis Towers is a new condo, located
in central Singapore, 3 subway stops to Orchard subway. |
The
Waterside has an Olympic sized pool and lush
landscaping but it is the standard pool built 10 years
ago. It does not have those water features and
waterfalls which make the young Caucasian expat's heart
miss a beat. The gym looks like it was previously a
converted squash court or an exercise room. It has 3
squash courts too. |
