Advices to first-time Tenant Surfers: Please note that it is not practical to list all houses or update frequently. Below is a housing guide of current listings for first-time expatriate Tenant planning to relocate to Singapore.

Generally, bungalows with pools in prime expatriate enclave areas rent from $10,000 to $50,000, crazy as it may be. For example, if you want to live near the US ambassador's mansion in Holland Road area, expect to pay more. Brand new semi-detached houses near German/Dutch schools rent around S$6,000 - 7,000. Terrace houses rent around $3,000 - $6,000.

Most of the Singapore realtors co-broke (one may have the property and Asia USA may have the Tenant) and that will be in the best interest of the Landlord.

Advices to first-time Landlord Surfers regarding selfish realtors: Please note that your realtor, if given exclusive listing, is the type who will co-broke with others. There is a minority who does not do so and hopes that the prospective Tenant will contact them direct; in this way, they do not split 50% of the agency commission. Majority of closings are still through co-broking although there are a handful of expatriates who contact realtors direct.
