field of a school and a mosque - a picturesque countryside view for a city condo.
She had negotiated in Canada for a company paid housing allowance of
$3,000 - $5,000. But the Singapore partner wanted to exert his influence to slash
the rental down to below $3,000.
Advices to newcomer
expats: Negotiate properly so that you can close on your ideal apartment and
not be shocked by the slashing of the housing allowances by local
branches of the company..
