Half a loaf is better than no bread?

In March 2001, there is a great demand for good quality renovated good looking bungalows with inground pools by expatriates with $8,000 - $15,000 rental per month budget. Such renovated bungalows are rarely available at that range.

Hillcrest Road bungalow + pool. 5,000 sq. ft built in, 10,000 sq. ft land. $13,000

Sunset Way 5+1 bungalow. 4,000 sq. ft built in, 11000 sq. ft land. $10,000. Owner willing to remodel and add pool if the rent is $14,000. Caucasian enclave. Mid way between downtown and the American School but close to Tanglin Trust and United World College.

12.30pm. See outside:
Third Avenue bungalow + pool 5+1 20,000 sq. ft $20,000. Prestigious area near the Prime Minister's residence.

This is my fourth house hunting with an American expat for the dream bungalow with pool at below $15,000 budget. It is a very difficult case to close as the rental budget for a good quality renovated bunglow with an inground pool is above $15,000.

There are exceptions such as proximity to construction sites, but one spouse will not like this situation. A remodelled Dalkeith bungalow with an inground pool, next to an ongoing construction was rented at $8,000 when the market rent is over $12,000. It was on the market for at least 6 months.

The hunt for the ideal bungalow with inground pool can make a non exclusive realtor bankdrupt when the viewing goes on for several days, in competition with other realtors as the expatriate usually has more than one realtor to serve her.

Chances of success are very slim unless the expatriate spouse likes your service and will see houses with you almost exclusively so that you have a higher probability of success.

Tips for first time www.asiahomes.com realtors or those who can't afford to lose their shirt.

It is best for first-time realtors not to handle bungalow cases as they get demotivated and broke as they are self employed. The agent's commission is large but the closing chances are slim.

Do you want a $3,000 case and has many choices to offer the prospective tenant or a $15,000 case and has a handful to offer. One competitor who has what the expatriate wants and you are back on the streets with no bread and butter for your family.

Which will you choose? I recommend the $3,000 cases. Half a loaf is better than no bread?

Conclusion:
The Dutch expatriate made no decision and would not want to see other apartments in the future. It was an exploratory tour.
