Part 1.  Be Kind to Pets - Eye ulcer in the rabbit.   Sponsored by asiahomes.com

Part 2.  Some information on the type of houses in Singapore in response to frequent expat queries.

Report on house-hunting with a big Australian family. What type of house or apartment does the Australian wife want?
Part 1.

Be Kind to Pets.
Deep ulcerative keratitis in the rabbit extracted from
The Glamorous Vets, Singapore

Corneal ulcer in a Singapore rabbit. The rabbit was presented with an eye ulcer 14 days ago.  The vet advised the Elizabeth collar, regular eye-drops and cleaning of the eyes and confinement in a dark area.

The Singapore owner thought it was cruel to confine her pet and let it have freedom from the collar for one hour daily.  The ulcer became worse and red blood vessels sprouted around the ulcer area because the rabbit rubbed its eye more.

Ulcers in the eye are sensitive to sunlight and wind.  The affected pets tend to rub its eye to relieve the itch.

"Did the rabbit look for dark areas?" I asked.    The owner remembered it hiding under the bed, an "unusual" behaviour.

It was warded.  Pet owners have to be very vigilant in their care of their rabbits have eye ulcers as the whole eye can become infected with pus and has to be surgically removed, resulting in a one-eyed jack.

Part 2.  What type of house does the Australian wife prefer?

Wanted by top IT chief executive:
6+1 bedroom house near to the British Club and in a good residential area. Children studying at Australian School.
Cable ready.  Big area for entertainment of guests.
Covered car park.

The wife had the last say.  The penthouse at Yang's Garden Village looks extremely attractive as it is remodelled and just across the Australian School.  Many visitors mean that more bedrooms are needed and the Naga Court penthouse will be great.

The Sembawang detached was the ideal home favoured by the husband as it has quality and the tranquility but the Australian family may need 2 cars.  The husband may not mind living away from the expatriate community, but the wife may feel comfortable living near an expat enclave as there will friends for the children.

Sungrove cluster housing semi-detached seems to fit all specifications for the husband, but it does not knock the socks off the wife.  The apartment of choice was Yang's Garden in this case.
