Some Caucasian expats dislike the black granite flooring in the living area. Above unit has no balcony. Facing Riverside View serviced apartments and Singapore River. 

River Place is one of the few downtown condos fronting the Singapore River and in a historical heritage area. 

Upscale finishes and resort ambience & brand new condition has lead to a high take up rate by young romantic couples and those working near Raffles Place. 

A complaint is the dark kitchen.  Some units face the road or a wall.  Some have fantastic green Singapore River views but the Developer has had installed a middle window which can't be opened in the living area in some units. 

Some Caucasian expats dislike living so near the work place, some just love the upscale finishes, the  resort water front ambience and the pubs and cafes of Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay, with only a 5-min drive to downtown Orchard Road. 

A 10-minute walk to the Raffles Place subway or 2 bus stops. A Caucasian enclave, popular with the younger ones.

Small balcony.  Ground floor units have a very high ceiling, much appreciated by most tenants.

Bathrooms in a one-bedroom with a rectangular floor plan can be crammed in one-bedroom units.  Picture shows bathroom with a squarish floor plan.		 River Place: Granite counter top and white kitchen appliances

White Elba cooker hood, hob and oven and white kitchen sink. Black granite counter top contrasting with pale pinewood coloured kitchen cabinets. 

A main complaint is that the kitchen is dark but the layout is such that the kitchen is tucked away in a corner with small windows or just open to the utility area. 

A few units on higher floor have brighter kitchens with daylight coming from the open utility area. 

You may encounter difficulty opening the fridge doors in some one-bedroom units as the kitchen is extremely compact.

Units fronting Singapore River.  Some units have one to 3-bedroom floor layout plans. 

The rents for the 3-bedroom are around $6,000 - $7,000.
