The Lotus Sanctuary at Coronation Road West. District 10. Coronation Road West. 2 and a half storey semi-detached houses. 12 units completed in February 2000. 4 + study + maid. However, the maid's room is very small. Very light brown marble flooring in the living and dining areas, open concept kitchen and small gardens. Bigger units have a jacuzzi bath tub with wooden platforms at the side of the house, a study room next to the air well. A light well or air well brightens the house 3200 sq. ft - 4110 sq. ft (renting over $11,000 per month). Rent asked from $8,000 in April 2000.. 3 bedrooms with attached 3 baths. Master bedroom in front & 2 other bedrooms on level 2. Guest room below in bigger units can be used as a dining room or study. Since completion in February, 2000, response had been excellent. A good example of a housing development that knocks the socks off the expatriate who wants new modern houses. The ability to attract top rent for a location not near any subway or public transportation but in an expat favoured location of District 10. The corporate Landlord opens the market to all rental realtors in Singapore and is responsive to viewing appointments. At $10,000 rental, there are some older bungalows but they don't have the "newness & modern" appeal to many Caucasian families. |

Extracts of real case files from: The Glamorous Vets,
Singapore One in 10 Singaporeans between 10 - 65 years old is said to be diabetic. Not much is known about diabetes in the Singapore dog. This 12-year old Poodle has symptoms of diabetes. Passing lots of urine, being thirsty all the time and having a great appetite. The skin thins (click thumbnail to see bigger picture). It has a strong rancid skin smell. The complaint was that it passes motion frequently. The weight gain is considerable. The heart is still in good condition. Many of these diabetic cases need veterinary attention. Many Singaporean Owners are not aware of the need to consult a veterinarian when the dog has an unusual thirst and voracious appetite. If you want your pet to live longer, do consult your veterinarian when your pet is very thirsty and always hungry. These may be the symptoms of diabetes in the dog. Diabetes insipidus or Diabetes mellitus are 2 veterinary conditions described in the canine species. Do consult your veterinarian when your dog drinks lots of water and passes lots of urine. Many Singapore pet owners think it is the hot weather that makes the dog thirsty but the symptom of excessive thirst is not to be neglected. |
