Maximum period of stay : 2 semesters. Subsequent stay is subject to vacancies.

The Residential Services maintains a register of off-campus rooms for rent in private homes near the University. Private
housing agreements are usually signed for a minimum period of 6 months’ stay. Registered students may view the housing

Approximate rentals : Single room $ 300 to $ 350 per month 

Double room $ 400 to $ 600 per month

Apartment $ 700 to $2000 per month

Gillman Heights is currently the National University of Singapore's main source of housing for foreign faculty members. 

Each apartment in Gillman
Heights consists of 3 bedrooms and has a size of about 1750 square feet. Most NUS residents in the estate are faculty
members on long-term contracts.

For short-term visitors, the University also maintains furnished apartments in Kent Vale as well as Pandan Valley, a
condominium development about 10 minutes by car from the campus. 

Rents for University accommodation are highly subsidized. For instance, the monthly rent for an unfurnished unit in Gillman
Heights is currently S$600.
